Lessons Learned: My 20’s

To start, I’d like to say that I am still doing The Minimalism challenge, but instead of conquering a new challenge EVERY DAY, I’ll carry out the challenge for a whole week; that way I can really have something to report back to y’all. So, keep a look out for updates on Friday about that!

I have certainly missed writing for leisure and writing this blog so to get back into this I decided to start a new series (that isn’t necessarily weekly) centered around things I have learned or am starting to learning since entering my twenties. Since most of my readers are also trying to navigate their twenties, I figured this could speak to at least one of you.

Since becoming more independent in all aspects of my life, I have discovered that I have become better at managing my time and obligations. For a long time, I wanted to be everything for everyone and I constantly overextended myself, which in turn, stressed me out. I’ve gotten better at focusing on what I can do and accomplish realistically, and I’ve also learned to say no when need be despite my overwhelmingly desire to say yes about 99.9% of the time. Since learning how to manage my time (and keep my mouth shut) I have found I am less stressed and more at peace with the decisions I’m making.
