Ten Days of Christmas Tag

My lovely, lovely friend, Sabrina over at Cattails + Cardigans, tagged me to do this fun Christmas-themed Q & A.

1. What do you love the most about Christmastime?
A: I think what I love most is the feeling of happiness I have when everyone’s together. I have a pretty big family so it’s the best time of the year.

2. Do you celebrate the holiday in style or is Bah-Humbug for you?
A: I try to celebrate it in style in terms of clothing, but my daily wardrobe is t-shirts and yoga pants, so it’s pretty hard for me to deviate from that comfort level. With everything else (decorating, cooking, music, etc,.) I love making homemade sugar cookies, gingerbread, and fudge with Mandy Jane and decorating the tree (although, college finals and Law & Order: SVU have taken decorating away from me this year).
3. Are you leaving anything out for Santa this year so he remembers to leave your presents?
A: I wish I was still young enough, but sadly, no. However, my baby cousins will be participating in that tradition and I’m excited to see it continue with them.

4. What is the one gift you are most looking forward to GIVING? {It can be to your kids, another family member, etc – remember to be discreet if they read your blog.}
A: Oh my. Well, since my bank account is at like -0 (totally kidding, but seriously, it’s low) because of the crazy amount of time I’ve put in for math tutoring, I can’t shower everyone with gifts this year. I guess I’m most excited to give my cousin, Paulina, something I’ve written for her. Of course, I did buy her a few material things, but this piece that I’m writing her is something more special than any money I could spend.

5.  What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie?
A: Umm, this is super easy for me: ELF all the way. I’m obsessed with it and I love to quote it even if it’s not Christmastime.

6. What is your all-time favorite Christmas song?
A: Definitely “Baby, it’s cold Outside” or “Jingle Bell Rock.”

7.  If given the opportunity, would you participate in an “Ugly Sweater” party and what sweater would you wear? Peruse one on the Internet or even if your own closet and show us!
A: Actually, I’m super excited this question’s on here because my Aunt Fiona is having one on Christmas Eve and I’m so excited. Here’s the one I’ve decided to wear!
8. Have you started any Christmas traditions this year that you plan on carrying forward?

A: Well, I never play White Elephant, so I decided to start my own little tradition. Since I’m a writer and I love making my family smile, I have decided to pick one family member a year to write a letter to. It’s just my way of saying, “I love you!” 🙂
9. It’s Christmas morning… What does it look like outside where you live?

A: It’s Southern California, soooo… Sunshine! Then again, who knows?
10. You just found yourself standing under the mistletoe… who comes up to kiss you first?

A: Well, I’m single so probably my aunt’s Boston Terrier, Bubba. (Pathetic, I know.)
Hope you all enjoyed that Christmas  Q& A. Feel free to share some of your Christmas traditions below. Meanwhile, I’m going to watch some Netflix and enjoy some Christmas cookies and milk!
Happy Holidays!
