VMAS- GAGA, ONE DIRECTION, MILEY

So, contrary to what you may think, I did not just watch the opening of the 2013 Video Music Awards (although, it might have been better if I had), I watched the WHOLE show. Of course, Gaga performed and did absolutely fantastic! Now, I am not just saying this as an obsessed fan, but as someone who is also artistic and creative. As for all of you: I’m sure you just thought she looked like a psycho! (It’s okay, though!)

Here’s an explanation of Gaga’s VMA performance: FOUR ERAS IN FOUR MINUTES!
(1-4 ARE THE FOUR ERAS.)

1. THE RED CARPET LOOK: This dress and hair represented Gaga BEFORE Gaga (as in Stefani Germanotta.)

2. THE BORN THIS WAY ERA: The Born This Way Ball which is obviously the Born This Way era.

3. THE FAME ERA: The silver wig and sequins were reminiscent of the Poker Face/Just Dance videos. Also, the dance number when she was in this outfit had gestures like that of Poker Face.

4. THE FAME MONSTER ERA: This was the Bad Romance/big hits era (and my personal fave of all four). You can see this in the leotard and blonde/yellow wig and makeup.

5. ARTPOP GIRL (REPRESENTING THE NEW ERA): This is, as you are all aware, the g-string outfit (or lack thereof), and her ombré wig.

This photo compares the past looks to the performance attire!
In other VMA news, One Direction was booed (and yes, the boos in Gaga’s performance were FAKE)! Of course, G came to their defense and 1D supporters are sounding off.

AIN’T NOBODY FUCKIN’ WITH HER CLIQUE 😉
Other celebrities have shown love for Gaga’s big act:
Everyone from Boy George to Samuel L. Jackson shared their praise!

In other VMA headlines: MILEY! I didn’t like her performance, HOWEVER, her new song is my jam! Wrecking Ball is so relevant to my life right now and I love the beat and her voice sounds great! I’d also like to give a shout out to my beautiful friend Mary Ann for being such a dedicated fan to Miley! XOXO!
And, um, N’SYNC?!?!? THE TWELVE-YEAR-OLD INSIDE ME WAS TOTALLY FREAKING OUT. LIKE, CRYING.

XO,
Miranda
